I hope the mods will be okay with this, what with technically being a promotion

So, as you all know from the current stickied thread, we recently lost Bravery.

Bravery was my very good friend. I spoke to him daily about just about everything for over a decade, and adjusting to life without him has been hard, though I am certainly getting better at getting through my day to day and starting to do things again.

I know that he would not have wanted me to sit around and be sad for him forever. And as much as he was my friend, he was also my supportive numbe 1 fan of just about anything. Willing to watch my video drafts to check for mistakes, and always, ALWAYS being present for my otherwise not heavily visited streams. Sleet or snow, no other viewers - Brav was there, always chatting  and clipping up a storm.

He wouldn't want me to stop doing content, especially not at a time where my Twitch Affiliate Anniversary is coming up. So I am not going to. But I AM going to dedicate it to him.

One of our last conversations were discussing what would be something fun to do for such an occasion, and he suggested some nostalgic fun with the Disney Afternoon Collection of classic Disney Capcom games.

So on JULY 18TH, at 9PM UTC+2  / 2 PM UTC-5, I will be streaming exactly that, all in his name over at

There's no easy way to share the news I got yesterday, so that's why I state it plainly in the title and will state it just as plainly now.

Bravery is dead.

He had stopped responding to me altogether on Discord about a week ago, which I naturally thought was odd since he and I have spoken practically at least once a day for the better part of a decade.

I tried to tell myself to not be silly and assume the worst. But still I wrote him every day and recieved no responses even when I said I was worried. So, yesterday, on my way home from another obligation, I started online sleuthing to find contact info on his family, and got ahold of his sister, who he has mentioned to me many times before.

She'd been wanting to get ahold of me, but was unsure how and well, she unfortunately confirmed my darkest fears.

From what she knows, it was sudden. Possibly a result of some underlying health issue. Nobody knows exactly what went on just yet.

I'm gutted, naturally. Brav and I knew eachother well. We were even on birthday and christmas gift basis even though we have only ever actually met a handful of times in real life.

He would have turned 35 on August 1st. I was pondering what I should get him "once he got back". I had practically started rehearsing how to tell him that I didn't care how long he was gone as long as he came back fine and well, in case he was sick or something.

Today, your staff here at Ponyville.us is proud to announce the newest member of our team, !!Applejack! You may know her as our esteemed user and friend, Tracer Bullet!

Tracer graduated from the University of West Dakota at the age of fifteen, and proceeded to receive her master's degree in petroleum engineering shortly thereafter from Brigham Young University, in Provo Utah.

We expect that Tracer's hardboiled demeanor and excellence in petroleum engineering shall be a great asset to Ponyville.us, as we continue our work in making Ponyville both a fun place to be, and a profitable hydrocarbon exploration venture.

Good evening ponies. Unfortunately, our testing period for Plan A has not yielded the result the staff was expecting.

As such, we are moving forward with Plan B, and issuing bans to a small pool of users who have been found to be particularly uncivil in their conduct on the board.

We will start with just a few bans, and escalate as needs must. Thank you for your understanding. I'm sorry it has come to this measure.

I truly hope this can help to resolve some of the civility issues and reports present on /townhall/.

Excluding First Degree rule violations, bans shall generally escalate in this order. If a ban is given that does not escalate in this order, again excluding First Degree rule violations, that ban must be thoroughly explained by the issuing staff member such that the public can understand that reasoning.

1st Ban: 2 Hours - 4 Hours
2nd Ban: 1 Day - 3 Days
3rd Ban: 1 Week - 2 Weeks

- After Third Ban, probationary period of 3 months permitted, in which if the user commits no further offenses of any kind, the ban is reversed to 2nd Ban, allowing user to receive 3rd ban again and thus another probationary period. 4th Ban and beyond implemented only if user fails to follow terms of probation. Terms of probation are set by staff, pending evaluation of situation. -

4th Ban: 1 Month - 1 Year, or Permaban, depending on circumstances and potential discussion with user
5th Ban: 6 Months - 1 Year, or Permaban

Hello everypony! Thank you all for your attention. Your Ponyville staff has been hard at work thinking up ideas on how to improve the site after considering your feedback, both in individual discussions, and through our recently posted poll.

We'd like to share an initial set of suggested changes for your consideration! Please take a look below:

Ponyville Administrative Consistency and Transparency Act
I. The Rules Board

A new board will be created that is not open to public posting. It shall contain the Rules, mirrored from the frontpage, but contain previous site mandates and policy changes as well, such that a clear record can be easily accessed and reviewed by the userbase.

This shall also allow the staff to build a history of decisions to base new decisions on, and allow the userbase to see the consistency in the staff's actions from a much clearer perspective.

II. The Moderator's Hoofbook

We are working on a comprehensive Moderator's Hoofbook that outlines all the duties and responsibilities of a Ponyville moderator. This Hoofbook will go over our enforcement policies, our typical means of response, and give a transparent look at how we go about handling reports, issuing warnings, and interacting with the community.

Good evening, my little ponies! It has come to the attention of the staff that the issue of politics on our humble home has caused quite a bit of distress to the community at large!

Political threads, posts, and derails have caused no small amount of alienation, and can be very disruptive to the posting environment. The staff has heard your concerns, and has come up with what we feel is a good solution towards addressing them.

Politics on Ponyville Proposition 1 [3P1] is a proposed change in policy that will invite greater staff scrutiny when it comes to political posts and threads, substantially escalating the likelihood that these posts will be interpreted as rule-breaking.

At the same time, we believe the implementation of the proposition is such that it will not unduly infringe upon any poster's right of free expression, nor be too burdensome to the undramatic discussion of politics.

To greatly paraphrase [TL;DR]: Politics on Ponyville Proposition 1, future political posts will be analyzed either as being regular posts, or as "political drama." Posters who have a history of political drama, or posts that are very close to that line, will have all future political posts analyzed with heightened scrutiny.

Posters with no posting history at all, such as those posting under fresh IP's, shall have all political posts analyzed with heightened scrutiny, as well.

We have exciting news for everypony! First and foremost, our editing feature is in its final review, and should hopefully be out soon. I know, it's been in the works for a while but I can promise we're in the final stages.

Secondly, we are working on Ponymotes for the site! Little emoticons you can add to your posts. As such, we're opening up submissions for the Ponymote system!

If you can, please submit images you'd like to see as Ponymotes with a height of 27 pixels, and a width of no more than 50!
