And yes, been another tech disaster on my side.
Laptop is out of order. Mouse wheel got broken. But I can still use the desktop as a temp solution.

I've went and ordered a mouse and keyboard, as the keyboard is looking worn down too.
Just as I also got my docking station for the Steam Deck. I'll be using that as my potential shitposting battlestation.

Went for some budget options, suited for gaming. I would've liked to spend more on something kawaii, but I'm not willing to spend more than £100 for a mouse or keyboard. Just want something that works without breaking the bank.

The RTX 5090 feels like an expensive flop. Maybe frame generation upon frame generation is not something that gamers want.
You're gonna need an extreme high refresh monitor and play at 1080p to really push the limits and not experience as much artifacting.

Also the 5070 being faster than a 4090? Seeing that the 5090 makes like 25-40% gains over the 4090, I honestly doubt 5070 would be faster with no DLSS
With Lossless Scaling having implemented 4x frame generation months before NVIDIA, you might as well just use that on the older cards. I do not know how they both compare in terms of latency and artifacts though

Are investors fussed up about the more lukewarm reception of the 5090 or is it indeed the AI stuff?

Still algorithms at the end of the day!
Both newer tech with complicated algorithms that probably have more optimal ones out there, that are yet to be discovered.

Reinforcement learning is just a technique used to recalibrate your feature vector variables. It's used both within non-linear based machine learning, and linear machine learning.
non-linear machine learning, or neural networks, are the tech. Reinforcement learning is an extension.

Also, will Muffin post here?

I see there are claims floating around that OpenAI models and others may have been used in the training for DeepSeek models.
Apparently due to the bot making references as such.

It's likely why certain topics are left alone and treated with more leniency, despite being based in China.
If it was a homegrown model, then they would have a lot more leverage over what content goes in and what doesn't. Surprising that the state is keeping its' hands off for now.

They are similar in how they recommend essential music albums by genre, but there are some slight differences in what order they recommend, as well as offer different choices. It's probably a matter of randomness after they go through the top suggestions.

IDM is interesting. There is a match by 5/9 from the prompt: "Recommend 9 essential IDM albums."
Both share these 5 entries in the same order from 1-5:
Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works 85-92
Autechre - Tri Repetae
Boards of Canada - Music Has the Right to Children
Squarepusher - Harder Normal Daddy
μ-Ziq - Lunatic Harness

I haven't listened to much IDM myself, but some stuff from Aphex Twin and The Future Sound of London are among favourites.

The trips up there wasn't me. anons are hard to tell apart sometimes.

In the end though it's how humans work. They pass through a va*, see light, colors, put it all together. Then make out humans, monkey see monkey do all their life, heil... oh i'll leave that part out.

Humans just have their own personal style of making stuff probably.

AI make bad and good and the latter more times than former in my experience with the ones i've messed with. Some are humorous disasters Electricity use for it is crazy.

 No.1184782

>>1184780
Humans can make choices based on the things they have put together and create new from it. That is not what AI does. It randomly throws it together and presents you with the "most almost-passable result based on what it thinks you asked for" that it cannot adequately edit afterwards without essentially starting over. It's functionality only comparable to human learning on the very basest surface level. And again, even if you argue for that, the energy consumption loops right back to make it a bad idea either way.

Exactly. From what I understand, its programming goes to the point of only what it knows of what it was:
programmed to do
the data it collected before it was used
sometimes data after the prompt if it searches more online based on that prompt
and then what it was prompted.
Memory and storage are a big issue. With a massive memory, it can crunch everything to be more precise. Now it leaves out stuff. It doesn't have access to everything in mass storage it needs to be as accurate as possible either. With lower memory of what it would really need, it would only be so good anyhow.

Either way, no matter what it is, all the electric consumption by anything in the world is questionable based on the problem of climate change, expenses, and lack of real use of the right types of energy in society. Some places are better than others but regardless.

Sorry for the lengthiness. I just take it for what it is and the fact it won't go away even if it's used for the negative which it will be.

They are train conductors, not cops.
A ticket for the Shinkansen express train costs 13,870 yen for Tokyo to Osaka.

Indeed. As somebody who, I believe, has specifically drawn Alopex before, what do you think yourself as far as 'furry' relationships? Like if you lived on a planet in which humans and another beings interacted constantly, would you think about possibly having a girlfriend like her?

Ah, I see  that you, too, are a Ponyvillian of taste.

And yes, I have. It's been a LONG toime, though, and I should probably try again.

Eh, I have no problem with it in fiction cause yanno, it's fiction and you just kinda gotta let some things slide (and art styles can certainly help make it palpatable). I think the purely physical differences might make things pretty difficult or unappealing in the real world, though. It'd probably lean quite a bit too far into actual zoophilia for most.

But I simp for Kitsune from Usagi Yojimbo on the reg despite being aromantic, so who am I to talk.

I've a hard time thinking of what "waifur" truly would be best in terms of all of the fiction out there. I guess like the stereotypical furry I simply think of them as inherently more interesting than human characters usually. That make sense?

Sure. I mean, as an artist, furry characters tend to allow for a lot of fun visual variation, and we humans are naturally fascinated by animals. Makes sense to me.

Contrasts are also a beautiful thing, a lot of the time, so something like a human husband to a wolfess and also a doggo fellow with a feline boyfriend can appeal a lot. I think. Especially if we're straight up subverting animation convention with like a tiger giving a bunch of flowers to a gazelle or whatever.

Okay, I need to figure out whether the statement "Mo protects against creep" is true or false. Let me start by recalling what creep is. Creep is a deformation that happens in materials under constant stress at high temperatures. It's especially important in metals used in high-temperature environments, like turbine blades or engines.

Now, Mo stands for molybdenum. I remember that alloying elements are added to metals to improve their properties. For example, chromium is added for corrosion resistance in stainless steel. So, what does molybdenum do? I think molybdenum is often used in steels to enhance strength, especially at elevated temperatures. Maybe it helps with creep resistance?
