Ever since around late October here in the UK it's been dark, dark cold and often wet. Grey too. The sun was setting at 4pm and it felt like it was rising just before 8am.
And yet here we are four months later. I wake up at 6;30am, the sun is up. The sun is shining, it's a bright beautiful day. The birds are chirping. The flowers are blooming.
Spring is here! Are you ready?

I feel like I'm dying. Why did winter end so early? Why does it have to end at all?

>implying that it can't both be spring and be incredibly rainy at the same time
This feels like a terrible way to tempt fate!
I do, still, love spring anyways!

As much as it's nice to have sunny days again, I'm not looking forward to the inevitable heatwaves.

I hate summer.
I hate the bugs. I hate the heat. I hate having no good way to deal with the heat. I hate not being able to wear the clothes I want to wear. I hate not being able to see outside because the sun is too bright. I hate not being able to sleep with the covers on because it's too hot. I hate the fact that I have to deal with all this for a long-ass time every day because the day starts earlier and ends later than it does in winter. I hate hay fever. I hate how closing my bedroom door so that my mother can't hear me talking to my friends combines with the heat from my PC to make my bedroom uninhabitable. And I hate how everyone on God's green earth acts like this is somehow something to celebrate.
So am I ready for spring? Maybe. Am I ready for what comes after? Put it this way, I wish I could reverse-hibernate.
