I'm having a bit of a dilemma right now.
I've started VA-11 HALL-A twice now, years apart, but despite enjoying it have never been very far into it.
I want to try again. But I'm incidentally in a VA-11 HALL-A fan Discord that I joined a long time ago and sometimes trawl for memes. Through it I'm exposed to a fair amount of transphobia.
VA-11 HALL-A itself isn't transphobic and actually has a trans character portrayed in a positive light. But it makes me worry about the community, which I don't have a good handle on outside of that server. I'm not sure how comfortable I am playing a Transphobe Game™ if it's for some reason one of those.
Please advise.

But this isn't that, and I think the devs are good people. I think I could do it, and I think I should do it, I just want to feel validated in doing so.

Internet and youth culture
actually a lot of things
are divisive.
On one hand, there's been so much publicity for stuff like LGBTQ and other personal lifestyles and a very elaborate culture that comes with it.
On the flipside, there's such a large counter movement that brings out rebellion to what used to be the rebelling choices, peppered with a lot of edgy inappropriate humor.
And both are shaping the real world.

It is bad. It is scary. There is little people can do to protect us over the internet, because it is ultimately the people around us in real life who can affect us the most. You can downplay them, but these facts are irrefutable.
Yes, we will get through it. And yes, judging by historical precedent, our final victory is assured. But there will be no revolution, no quick fix. We have to suffer through no fault of our own, at least for a while. And there's only so much people typing '/me hugs' can do to help with that.

>>1188297 I think so! Do you have a better plan?
oh wow, I haven't watched that in ages.
These new owners are the worst ones since I've been here, in a place with new ownership every year or every other year, and I've been here since 2016. They are basically applying the Americans with Disabilities Act requirements to my apartment, which is idiotic and frankly illegal. But I won't be here to argue with them, and I don't want them to cancel my lease while I'm gone. I have a false wall splitting the living room made out of 3 bookcases on one side, and a bookcase, dresser, and cabinet on the other. This splits the "office" from the rest of the living room. They say this is a fire hazard based on literally nothing. So I've removed 1/3 of the wall: I've moved the dresser someplace else, and one of the bookcases is in my vehicle. If they'd have held the inspection when planned, I'd have just moved it right back where it came from after. But since they postponed it, I'll be gone, and I need to take the bookcase someplace else.
I've ended up with a lot of stuff over the years, mostly from family members. And my office is absolutely packed with computer parts and accessories, mostly from back when I used to scrap and refurbish computers.

Did you mostly watch Nickelodeon shows back then? Were there any other shows from other networks that you're nostalgic over?
I really don't know. Almost all of my neighbors moved out, and the few who remain are very quiet. The main management now operates out of a ghetto complex across town. My long-term houseguests have been the only ones to have in-person run-ins with the top management since I've been gone so much. They're of the opinion that the property manager (the one who does the inspections) is a power-tripping racist. When the houseguests have left stuff in the hallway, I've gotten calls from the management demanding it be removed immediately - while I'm 900 miles away. Meanwhile other apartments have stuff outside and it's seemingly no problem. I can't wait until they get bought out by someone else.
How does one randomly come across a lost testicle? That's one very scatterbrained thief.

When you get your business set up, you can buy them out and impose your own silly rules, like allowing me to live there rent-free.

I can't imagine what that tastes like.
It was part of my at-the-time girlfriend's assortment of teas. When she moved away, I put all the teas in a box with a bunch of her other stuff. But when I met up with her later, she didn't want most of it. So then I just left it in the box, put it in a corner, and forgot what was in it. And then when I finally opened it, thinking it was something else, I found all the old tea - plus a bunch of other stuff that mostly went in the trash.

>>1188488One time my mother let us (four boys) have an Easter Egg hunt,we turned most of the house upside down. sofa cushions turned over, kitchen cupboards open, oven door open, etc.
As an alternative, why not an Easter Scavenger Hunt? I used to make them for my mother in later years.
First they find a chocolate egg with a riddle on it, with the last word being blank for them to guess, then they find another chocolate egg at the location the riddle indicates and so on, until the end where it's a big easter egg or a stash or a basket or such.

It is about the principle and the lack of consideration.

She is Amate "Machu" Yuzuriha from one of those Gundam shows. The ball is a small robot that is basically the mascot of the show. It is a mere coincidence that this is also ball-related. Hmph.

i mean most of the time, you only see dead animals on the side of the road. having it happen in your yard is not common, but not unheard of; although i remember a couple years ago, a similar situation happened where a deer that had a freshly severed leg that was still dangling from it was in our backyard, and i called the forestry service, and they told me the same "we cannot do anything until it dies" thing. so i tried to get it to leave our backyard, which it eventually did
and then a year later, i came across the same deer, with three legs, and the nub covered in freshly grown fur

That is what you are supposed to do: Play your first four waves right, recall, and then you can play the matchup better if it is unfavorable or abuse it if your champ is stronger early.
I might try it tomorrow then. I do miss going to the park and doing it. My feet are too sensitive. I rarely walk barefoot.
The idea is that you are sitting on an invisible horse. Start with your feet shoulder-width or wider apart. Turn your feet slightly inward or keep them straight. Lower your hips down as if sitting on a horse or chair. Keep your back straight and chest lifted. Hold your hands in a guard position, like you are carrying a staff or something, and maintain that position for a minute or longer when you are able to.

That the contrast looked good, if I remember correctly.
Not quite a break since there is the impending work any moment now. But it is nice to know that this is relaxing for you.
Now I am not sure if I should be apologizing.

Thanks, thanks. I am still unsure what scientific studies are to be done involving this.
I guess it will be a long night for you?
It was a bit of an awkward spot I put you in there, along with an awkward spot on your shorts.

And that is why you are being a model citizen. It all makes sense now. I will be nice.
The well rested part is debatable. It is not too debilitating; I am used to this state. My only plan so far is to have a nap later, and then check if I can do something with a friend. Nothing as exciting as learning karate through painting the barn like you.
That must be a lot of data and pretty slow drives you are working with.
I would be worried if you had. We just interacted last night, after all.

My anxiety always bests me in those situations. I begin to think "What if these meals taste awful? What excuse should I use to avoid eating more?" These are the relatives from the Netherlands? If so, you will be culturally enriched via food.
And a foot soak with all kinds of fancy soap! Well, maybe just watch some stuff and see where the conversation takes us.

That is precisely why I would hesitate to offer any praise. Then, if you tell the truth, they think you are an asshole. The only thing I can do is have a lot of water to wash away the bad taste.

If I were to rent the spare room you are currently occupying, I imagine all those activities and items would be included. I would also be wondering why is there a peephole hidden behind that painting that is staring at me.
Did you find more work that has to be done?
Clumsy man. Hopefully, it was not after significant progress had been made.

True, but I think the food back then was more forgiving.

I am not a big fan of how alcohol tastes. I can have it with sweet drinks or Irish coffee, not beer, wine or the usual drinks.
Should be fine as long as you did not call the cops again! I do not want to say too much, since he is your friend and all. All I know is he will resolve his problems with the little snake soon enough. Historically, that has been the case.

Very prudent of him. Also very helpful when the other person later tries to appear as the victim, saying it was the other person who was irrationally paranoid and such.
