Just Tuesday, i caught a rat scamper leisurely across my yard. It climbed up the bush / tree that I have and I saw it sitting in the top.
Then I went inside for a bit and when I went to check again, they were gone.
So far, I have not found signs of rats in the house, though.

I also have a small birch and a field maple that took root in my garden.
