IF I do, I have a gift card for one of the local grovery shops that I got in lieau of payment I would have just had to subtract from my benefits anywya. So I will be fine. But not a great situation. This has ot happened for years, now it's happened twice in four months.

listen, FLCL the original is peak cinema; nothing beats it in my eyes.
HOWEVER: i will go to bat for Alternative! that understood the assignment and was not just "weird for weird sake" and it told a beautiful story of a girl who's about to graduate highschool, and slowly realizing her world is going to fall apart, all told with a wonderful framing narrative of a broken phone, cracked and overheating; it was DAMN good!
progressive on the otherhand felt like whoever was working on it saw that the original FLCL was weird, but didn't understand WHY it was weird; so it felt rather disjointed, and didn't take that extra care to pump up the animation to the same wild level
as for Grunge and Shoegaze, i didn't know either of those existed so i have no opinion
