Hey everyone! i have come down with a cold. My nose is clogged and i hacked up parts of my lung, but i ate some spicy ramen, so hopefully that burned some of it off.

So let's do the equivalent of vicks vaporub for your brain, and do a chatroulette!

rules simple
roll a 1d10
then do/answer the thing!
(to roll a 1d10, type <1d10> but replace <> with []   )

so let's start

1. What is a food/drink that makes you feel a bit better when you are sick?

2. When was the last time you were sick? What kind of illness was it? (bonus points if you died)

Post too long. Click here to view the full text.

I'm not very fluent in Japanese so I had to use Google Translate for a lot of that. But I figured it made sense for Homsar text to be in all hiragana. Even if I was fluent in it, it would be pretty difficult to translate it without relying on loan words via katakana, which would probably dull the absurdity
>oooh you always find the coolest retro feelin stuff <3
I'm a sucker for retro computing, but not all demos are necessarily retro, like this video. The Windows executable that renders this video is also about 64k.

What cartoons have you looked up online to try to stream for yourself, other than you being interested in MLP?

I've got Amazon Prime, but, eh, I don't want to pay for the process of watching things episode by episode in addition to the regular cost of the service even though I wanted to rewatch some 'Samurai Jack' today. To be honest.

I own a Hunting Rifle for home defense, since that's what Boone intended. Four Legionarys break into my Novac motel room. I shouted "My wifes dead" as I grab my 1st Recon beret and Hunting Rifle, and blow a golf ball sized hole through the first Legionary, he's dead on the spot. Draw my 10mm Pistol on the second Legionary, miss him entirely because it's almost broken and nails the Legionarys mongrel. I have to resort to the Anti Materiel Rifle mounted at the top of the stairs loaded with .50 MG explosive rounds, "The last thing you never see" I shout as the explosive round shreds two of the Legionarys in the blast, pull out my combat knife and charge the last terrified Legionary. He Bleeds out waiting on a Centurion to arrive since broken limbs are impossible to fix without a Doctors bag or Super Stimpak.. Just as Boone intended!

The British television program about U.K. cops called 'New Tricks' features an interesting case in which two politicians are arguing while standing next to a pointy pile of concrete rocks while outside (by accident).

One guy is pretty angry and pushes the other dude in a pretty normal fashion. The victim falls onto the pointy concrete and then gets a hard wound to the head that kills him in a matter of seconds. Naturally, the other politician is confused as all hell. And horrified.

While fiction, this does illustrate two facts about humanity:

>1. Human bodies are fragile and ending a life can happen tragically easy, without intent.

>2. Regular outside environments that you walk around in and that you wouldn't think of as being bad, evil, or scary can still pose serious risks.

What do you think?

I suppose I should be even more clear that I'm trying to make the point that human health (and life itself) is a delicate, fragile thing that we should both value a lot and also be understanding about given risks.

Like roses. Tulips. Carnations. That sort of thing. That all make sense?
